I got your message...I received all of the goodies from SCBWI and think it's worth the while...I haven't joined the local chapter but will do so..I think it may be a wealth of information and support.I think it's worth investing in, and also perhaps purchase the 2010 Children's Writer's and Illustrator's Market book which Koo & Poppet and Kwankwest (bloggers) have recommended as "the bible" for the industry. Hope this helps!
