I'm a Busy Bee!

Hi everyone! I have some good news.. I was invited to be a part of Story Book Bugs! We are eight illustrators (and a few illustrator/writers) who share a love of children’s books. Buzz, crawl, creep and fly through our garden to read about our experiences and see our work here.

Here is an update on my health.. it turns out I had an ectopic pregnancy instead of a miscarriage. I was rushed into emergency surgery. Keep in mind I have never been really sick or had surgery in my life!! The baby was pretty big and my tube was about to burst. They ended up having to remove my entire tube. It was the scariest thing I have ever gone through and I hope none of you have had to go through such a thing. After the surgery I had to go back to the hospital for chest pain...a nurse who did not know what she was talking about told me that I had a blood clot in my lung. But don't worry.. it turned out she did not know what she was talking about.  Now I am just trying to heal as fast as possible. But after all of this, I really feel like I have been given a second chance at life. It has opened my eyes wide and clear! In fact.. me and my husband have decided to quit making ourselves miserable by staying in this town. We are moving to Colorado!! And man am I excited!! This is a goal that we have had for many many years. The house that we bought is a major fixer upper so stay tuned for lots of fun before and after pictures :)

Sad news

Hi everyone. Sadly I have to announce that I lost the baby. The doctor said that there was nothing wrong and that it is just something that happens. Suprisingly he said it happens in 1 out of 4 pregnancies. It was just not meant to happen yet. It's been really hard on me but I have to look at the good things that have come out of this. For example my husband got used to the idea of having a baby and would really like to try again. (but probably not for awhile beacause I need to recover mentally) I just want to say thanks to my family and friends for all of the support. I'm not going to give up or let this ruin my attitude on life.

On that note, I have made a few changes to http://www.mondayartday.ning.com/. It now has a new name 'Monday's Mail', a new banner, and each week a new theme with a big swap. 

ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards... They are generally hand made and used for trading with fellow artists through the mail. The card size is 2.5"x3.5"

Blood Test Results Are In

Blood test confirmed... its TRUE!! I really am pregnant. I'm excited and scared but mostly excited! :D

OH AND BY THE WAY.. I just found out I am pregnant!! WOW!!! I still can't believe it. In fact I don't really want to get my hopes up.. but I will be sure to give you all an update in a couple weeks. I'm SOO excited :) Please keep your fingers crossed until I get a blood test. 5 confirmed at home tests!
